While I think your treatment by the educational institution is absolutely disgusting and , HOWEVER, nothing illegal has happened on their part. I would suggest looking for a different university. Community Colleges tend to be more considerate to non traditional students. I would consider talking to either your local elected officials (ones that might oversee a CC) or your member of Congress.
