Does anybody have good recommendations of places to buy work clothes?

I like stores such as express, white house black market, etc. and am willing to spend money but not too much. I like designers but probably wouldn't wear it to work. I want suits, pencil skirts, cardigans- just to be able to be fashionable at work! thanks!
