Is it wrong to doubt? Am I any less "saved" by doubting?
Doubting God is sin, but all of us are human and we all sin and we all doubt. This does not mean that your salvation is in question. You are saved no matter how you feel. You may not feel saved, but you are. The fact that you are worrying about this proves it. Unsaved people don't even think about these things, let alone worry about them. God loves you. You are not alone, He promised that he would never leave us or forsake us. His Word is true, He cannot lie. When you doubt, ask God to forgive you in Jesus name. He will forgive you. Remember, we go on facts, not feelings. I am married. That is a fact. What if I wake up one day and on that particular day I don't feel married. The fact is, I am married, no matter how I feel. Feelings change from one minute to the next. They are unreliable. Don't let your feelings get the upper hand. Stick to the facts, that you have repented of your sin, and received the free gift of salvation that Jesus gives us. Sing hymns and choruses, read your Bible. Psalms is particularly good to help depression. I will be praying for you. Never give up. God will not let go of your hand, he will hold you up.
