Is this something you check with your bf [easy points]?

My room mate&I are close, he fancied me once but we're just friends now. We said we'd go for a week down to his family's apartment in Spain for this summer. Hes single & knows that Im taken (but my bf and I are doing long distance for now) Is this something id ask my bf if hes ok with? We never really check on stuff with one another generally so how should I bring it up&what to say that makes it seem like no big deal.
